It's a fight to the death

Article Abstract:

UK Labour party leader Tony Blair has adopted a more aggressive approach to campaigning as opinion polls indicate that the party's lead over the Conservative party is declining. He has spoken out very strongly against the Conservative party's record in government, claiming that a fifth Conservative term would be extremely damaging for the country. He believes that a new Conservative government would impose VAT on food and abolish the state pension.

Out there, it's not over yet

Article Abstract:

Opinion polls indicate that the UK Labour party will achieve a very clear victory in the forthcoming general election. However, research undertaken among voters shows that many are still undecided and that many are not revealing their true voting intentions. Prime Minister John Major has emphasised that opinion polls seem to bear little relationship to the views of ordinary people or to the canvass returns being undertaken by constituencies.
