The prophet of New Britain is showing signs of mortality

Article Abstract:

Opinion polls indicate a growing belief among voters in the UK that Prime Minister Tony Blair is arrogant and no longer aware of their concerns. There is a danger of Blair being regarded as not having fulfilled his commitment to considerably improve public services. He is still respected, but more people now see him as becoming intolerant and uncaring. Underperformance in other policy areas tends to make politicians appear even more arrogant and distant.
