The quiz man with all the answers

Article Abstract:

Being placed under great pressure brings an amazing adrenaline rush, according to quiz show contestant Lance Haward. He has now achieved his ambition of appearing on 'University Challenge,' 'Mastermind' and 'Brain of Britain,' which he feels are generally seen as the leading three quiz shows in the UK. He is very interested in how his mind adapts under pressure, and in particular in how his subconscious seems to come to the fore during moments of stress. He is uncertain where his quiz show career will go from here.

Here lies Dave Smith

Article Abstract:

Hoaxer Dave Smith seems to have no sympathy at all for the people who fall victim to his tricks. He appears to be addicted to hoaxing, and is constantly thinking of ever more complex hoaxes. He gained national fame in 1995 when he was featured in the Sun newspaper after having visited many car dealerships and persuaded staff to let him test drive luxury cars, claiming that he had won the lottery. This story has now become the subject of a television programme, and he hopes to become a television celebrity one day.

He even fills up the chamber pots

Article Abstract:

Dennis Severs has taken a theatrical approach to the guided tours he runs of his 18th century house in Spitalfields, east London. He has restored each room to a different period, and the house has attracted many visitors who are seeking an unconventional view of the past. He puts on a dramatic performance, aiming to introduce a mixture of fact and fantasy about the history of the house.
