Article Abstract:

Peter Duesberg, professor of molecular and cell biology at the University of California at Berkeley, believes that HIV does not cause Aids although most researchers disagree. Professor Luc Montaignier, who discovered the Aids virus in 1983, will attend an Amsterdam conference on May 14 1992 to discuss and oppose Professor Duesberg. Recent research shows that a pure relative of the HIV virus can cause Aids in monkeys but scientists cannot explain why some people have no symptoms although HIV-positive. However, the virus and the disease are always found together so the Aids epidemic has a unifying hypothesis in HIV.

The truth about the growing menace of heterosexual Aids

Article Abstract:

A scientific report to be published in Jun 1993 shows that Aids contracted through second generation heterosexual intercourse has increased to 7,000 cases in the UK. An epidemic moving over decades is predicted. About 80% of those infected do not realise they are carriers of the disease. Studies show there is a 20% risk of infected men transmitting the virus to their female partners and a 10% risk of infected women transmitting it to men. Research has established that infection may occur without anal sex or sex during menstruation.

World's first Aids case was false

Article Abstract:

Current thinking on the origins of HIV and on how the worldwide Aids epidemic started may be proved false by recent revelations that scientific evidence about the first case of Aids in the world - a man from Manchester who died in 1959 - is incorrect. It has been found that the tissue samples used by scientists at Manchester University in the original analysis in 1990 cannot have been from the patient who died in 1959, and it is now thought that tissue samples were mixed up in the laboratory or were deliberately switched.
