There are better ways of making a living than selling death

Article Abstract:

Britain is a major arms dealing nation, and campaigning against the arms trade is sometimes represented as improverishing Britain. Other countries would supply arms if Britain did not, apologists argued, but this changed with the Labor government, partly because it includes many practising Christians. The government's position is that Indonesia is allowed to buy arms if they are not used to repress civilians. Britain could only sell arms to a small group of allies, and this would reduce the number of sales to psychopaths.

Everyone is important - but only to themselves, unfortunately

Article Abstract:

Events which are very significant in the life of an individual, such as giving birth, moving house or having an operation, are usually just routine to those who deal with them. The particular event is not at all memorable to them, as they have experienced it many times before. The only way in which it may become memorable to them is if the individual makes it memorable in some way. This could be through being pompous or through offering a bribe. However, the best way is through humour.
