This fox was reared for a Yorkshire hunt to one end ... to be killed for pleasure

Article Abstract:

The RSPCA has launched in investigation following the discovery on land owned by a hunt of a pair of fox cubs being kept in a tiny, filthy cage. This investigation could substantiate claims made by animal rights groups that foxes are being caught and kept in captivity before being hunted. Hunts deny this practice, and claim that the main reason for fox hunting is pest control. In this case, there is no evidence that the hunt's organizers knew about or were responsible for the keeping of the cubs in captivity.

In just a flash, on the fifth of November, 800 years of Parliament is consigned to oblivion

Article Abstract:

Significant changes are set to take place within the UK House of Lords. Under the House of Lords Bill, 92 hereditary peers will remain, with the rest losing their right to vote. A ballot has been held to select 75 of the hereditary peers who will stay on. This group will consist of 42 Conservatives, 28 cross-benchers, three Liberal Democrats and two from Labour. Some peers have expressed great regret at these changes, while others have warned that the monarchy itself is in danger.
