Tinseltown's new dream team

Article Abstract:

The annoucement in Oct 1994 that Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg plan to set up an entertainment conglomerate known as DreamWorks SKG was greeted with great media excitement. Since the annoucement was made, all three men have received extensive media coverage, even though they have not so far found any premises or released any products. Some observers are now starting to claim that the project has been the subject of too much hype and that it may not be as successful as has been predicted.

America wakes up to its paranoid army

Article Abstract:

The recent bombing in Oklahoma City has caused great shock among ordinary Americans, but in fact the extreme views of Timoty McVeigh, who is believed to have carried out the bombing, are not particularly unusual in rural parts of the country. There are many fanatical paramilitary groups which have access to high-powered weapons, and they often go out on shooting expeditions. McVeigh's extremely right wing views are shared by many, especially in the western US.

Russia holds pot of gold for those who risk assault course

Article Abstract:

There are still significant challenges to be addressed by foreign companies seeking to invest in Russia. However, many decide that the potential benefits outweigh the risks, particularly in the oil and gas sectors. The Russian tax system is extremely complex and widely abused, and foreign investors find that this can greatly increase their administrative costs. They must also face the problem of competition from cheap foreign imports.
