Uniting our faiths with love

Article Abstract:

There are significant differences between Christianity and Hinduism superficially, but a marriage between a Christian and a Hindu can be successful, according to Derek Barnes, a Church of England vicar whose wife Rohini is a committed Hindu. He feels that their marriage has been successful because they have brought together elements of both their faiths. Rohini points out that they have never been confused about which faith they believe in. They discuss faith a lot, and respect each other's point of view.

J'accuse

Article Abstract:

Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth changed the way that poetry was seen by writing about feelings, but they were not influential political revolutionaries and gradually lost their early political radicalism. Alexander Pushkin was a major Russian poet who was less effective as a revolutionary. Alexander Solhenitsyn wrought a change in people's perceptions, and was deported from Russia, but he was not a socialist or liberal democrat.

The great illusion: ignorance, informational cascades, and the persistence of unpopular norms

Article Abstract:

The business world is not immune to the problems presented by norms of discrimination such as those against ethnic minorities and women and bribery in countries where corruption is endemic. Although the norms may be unpopular and inefficient, they are considered fairly common behaviors. The acceptance of such norms may be attributed to irrational decision making, collective misperception or pluralistic ignorance
