Four-wheel driving requires very different techniques from those used on ordinary roads. There is a very direct driving sensation, and the ride can be very rough. Progress can be slow, especially as there are many new skills to learn. It is important to be prepared to get very wet and muddy, and those simply interested in driving fast should not become involved. There are a number of important safety rules to learn, and natural driving instincts must be ignored.

Those who wish to experience paragliding must first be prepared to learn about safety, including how to land in an emergency. The next stage is to learn how to deal with the equipment on the ground, checking each component very carefully. Once in the air, paragliding is a very relaxing experience. The paraglider virtually flies itself, and does not seem to travel very fast. Paragliding gives a very attractive view of the countryside.
