Watchdog calls last orders on alcopop game

Article Abstract:

The Portman Group, the drinks industry self-regulator, has backed complaints made against an alcopop manufacturer. Cott Europe included instructions for a drinking game on bottle labels which it has now been asked to remove. It was thought that this could encourage binge drinking. The Portman Group also ruled that three other drink makers change their labels to reflect the alcoholic content of the drinks. Wynchwood Brewery's Dr Thirsty's Orange Punch, Matthew Clark's Fruit Concorde Banana Split and Scottish Courage's Sorba agreed to take action.
