An experiment in organization for innovation

Article Abstract:

Organizational behavior greatly affects the process involved in carrying out research and development projects toward innovation. Changing the corporate culture starts with management initiative to adopt to change and to change themselves. In a study of Courtalds Coatings' New Technology Group, success is hasten by an atmosphere of collaboration among project, market, technology and human resource managers along with top management support.

Leadership style and action routines: best practice manufacturing and R&D projects

Article Abstract:

An analysis of two survey-based studies on best practice product development and best practice manufacturing investigates whether the leadership style and action routines in the two samples are different and whether there is homogeneity within each sample regarding these behaviours.
