Auxin-Dependent Cell Expansion Mediated by Overexpressed Auxin-Binding Protein 1

Article Abstract:

Auxins are hormones in plants that induce growth in cellular wall extensibility, and make gene expressions change. ABP1 is thought to be a receptor that controls auxin's effect. research on the influence of ABP1 is ongoing. An experiment on ABP1's effect on the tetracycline repressor of tobacco plants is presented.

Sperm-egg binding protein or proto-oncogene?

Article Abstract:

A human sperm receptor protein tyrosine kinase, identified as a receptor for the egg-surrounding glycoprotein ZP3, is recognized by others as almost identical to the human proto-oncogene c-mer. This human homolog of c-eyk, a mouse proto-oncogene, was documented after the time of the original study.

Is EIAV tat protein a homeodomain?

Article Abstract:

The Drosophila homeotic protein bcd was determined to have RNA-binding properties in two recent studies. A new study discovered that a known RNA-binding protein, equine infectious anemia virus tat protein, was also a homeodomain-like structure.
