Article Abstract:

Charles Darwin disputed the spiritualism of his day which was promoted by Hensleigh Wedgewood and Alfred Russel Wallace. Though preoccupied with the controversy caused by his 'On the Origin of the Species' he found the resources to help prosecute celebrated psychic Henry Slade in 1876.

Charles Darwin: the last portrait

Article Abstract:

Naturalist Charles Darwin is known as a reclusive person who shun photography sessions, dinner parties and public lectures. However, some photographers of his time were able to capture his image through the camera. Some of these photographs are still in remarkable condition.
