Using embossing to create a fiber reinforced honeycomb composite

Article Abstract:

The objective of the study is to show the fabrication procedure and preliminary results of honeycomb reinforced composite using hot embossing. The embossing process was carried out at an elevated temperature in an environmental chamber attached to an MTS servo hydraulic testing machine.

Fracture behavior of kaolin-reinforced high density polyethylene

Article Abstract:

Results suggest that the supramolecular structure of the matrix dictates directionality of toughness of the kaolin-reinforced high density polyethylene composite. Data also indicate that heat tretment produces high toughness.
