Checks and balances

Article Abstract:

The aircraft industry is endeavoring to reduce the number of in-flight failures being experienced by its equipment through the use of modern condition monitoring systems. Vibration analysis equipment was introduced to measure vibration, the most popular measure for rotating machinery analysis. Eventually, handheld vibration analysis systems were developed to facilitate the easier measurement of vibration. The use of handheld condition monitoring systems has significantly made routine inspection tasks easier.
