Lower price and increased application abilities are making the 3D CAD modeling software increasingly popular in Europe. France leads in its uses, where 82% of the respondents affirm that 3D is their major design medium. European figures show that 63% of the respondents use 3D for product designing. Electrical and electronic industries lead in the use of 3D CAD, with 77% of the respondents confirming its utilization. Microsoft's Windows operating system has bridged the gap between the Unix workstation based software and the personal computer based software.

Knowledge management requires the free access to all data and information, although this raises the issues of privacy and confidentiality. Knowledge management is still the preserve of large organizations, and this has been emphasized by the recent creation of a Institute of Knowledge Management by IBM and its Lotus Development subsidiary.

Article Abstract:

A recent Institute for Employment Studies report showed that job stress can be effectively managed and prevented by determining its sources. A five-step plan for stress management is described which involves assessment and diagnosis, development of solutions, implementation, evaluation and additional monitoring and feedback. Rolls-Royce Ltd's employee stress management program is also discussed.
