Conservation Targets in South American Temperate Forests

Article Abstract:

Latin American countries use an expansion of their National Parks and Reserves systems as a way to promote conservation. In line with this, international nature conservation organizations are advocating for 10% of a given country's land area to be preserved. Whether biodiversity will be more effectively preserved under this initiative is assessed.
