Controlling flows in microchannels with patterned surface charge and topography
Article Abstract:
Two procedures that involve patterning the density of charge and patterning topography for controlling the flow of fluids in microchannels are reviewed. The article summarizes applications of these two procedures for generating recirculation and for mixing and controlling dispersion or band broadening.

Humanization of Lepidopteran insect-cell-produced Glycoprotein
Article Abstract:
The characteristics of the N-glycans present in glycoprotein produced by the lepidopteran insect cell-baculovirus expression system are outlined. Strategies to develop better glycoprotein expression systems suitable for pharmaceutical glycoprotein production are discussed.
