Cortical algorithms for perceptual grouping

Article Abstract:

A conceptual framework is provided for implementing a perceptual grouping in the visual cortex. Base-grouping and incremental grouping are responsible for perceptual grouping and the modulation of neuronal response strength during incremental grouping has a correlate in psychology as attention is directed to those features that are labeled by the enhanced neuronal response.

The Papua New Guinea stamp honoring an eruption of the volcano was released on Sep 19, 1995. The nation has 100 volcanoes of four distinct types. Rabaul Volcano and later Vulcan Volcano erupted on Sep 19, 1994 resulting in thousands of displaced people and millions of dollars worth of damage.
