Breaking the cycle of violence

Article Abstract:

The international community needs to contribute united efforts focused on extinguishing the prevalent 'cycles' of violence which have been observed to occur more and more often in various countries through the years. A threefold framework designed to solve the multiple problems of war-ravaged communities is proposed. This approach to postwar rehabilitation emphasizes the need to focus on the three 'zones' composed of the outer, social world which must be rebuilt in a postwar community, the inner, psychological world which must adopt proper anti-trauma coping mechanisms, and the transitional zone of childhood play and adulthood culture.
