Article Abstract:

The market for product data management (PDM) software and services has continuously grown in the past few years. Figures show that the total worldwide market for PDM products for 1994 amounted to $500 million and is expected to reach $1600 million by 1999. Article Abstract:

The working environments and the nature of the jobs are expected to experience tremendous changes by the year 2020 due to immense technological innovations. These changes may include the removal of functional boundaries between business enterprises and the development of 'virtual' companies which may function as the coordinator of the activities of different firm. Thus, the educational system should prepare the students for such possible changes in the working environments.
