Design/build goes light

Article Abstract:

The design/build project for the extension of Baltimore's Central Light Rail Line is progressing toward its scheduled completion in Jun 1998. The $106 million project is under the supervision of the Maryland Mass Transit Administration and is a part of the Turnkey Demonstration Program. The project involves three extensions to the 22.5 mi rail line area, which will add eight new stations to the rail line and increase the number of passengers. The time and money saving project has adopted effective team work and partnering techniques.
