Determination of Henry's Law constants for organosilicones in actual and simulated wastewater

Article Abstract:

This study evaluates the impact hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDS) and decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5), organosilicone compounds, have on wastewater treatment by using the Equilibrium Partitioning in Close System (EPICS) method of determination ofHenry's law constant (H).

Ozone as a cleanup tool

Article Abstract:

Ozone is discussed as a remediation tool for sites contaminated with benzene, ethylbenzene, xylene (BTEX), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE). Such compounds that are not biodegradable are broken down into smaller compounds by ozone, which can then be biodegraded.
