Distribution and fate of tributyltin in surface and deep waters of the northwestern Mediterranean

Article Abstract:

Researchers from the French Institute of Research and Exploitation of the Sea investigated the cause of tributyltin (TBT) contamination of deep sea marine organisms of the Mediterranean Sea. They attributed the circulation of water mass during winter as the main cause of TBT in deep waters.

Magnetic seed in ambient temperature ferrite process applied to acid mine drainage treatment

Article Abstract:

Researchers from the University of Alberta, Canada and McGill University, Quebec developed a new method to treat acid mine drainage, which contains nonferrous heavy metals, using a temperature ferrite process to produce magnetic seeds and using lime to neutralize the ferrite formation.
