Article Abstract:

A wide variety of fasteners suit a range of purposes. Liquid adhesives, copper strips in flexible thermoplastics or heating the copper welds the plastics, screws or inserts, plastic fasteners, pressure-sensitive acrylic- or silicone-based adhesives tapes, blind rivets, epoxies, acrylics and urethanes all have their pros and cons for securing plastics and composites. TWI and eight European partners will develop training modules on adhesives.

Intuitive theories of group types and relational principles

Article Abstract:

Three studies investigated perceivers' beliefs about the principles by which different kinds of social groups govern interactions among group members. Results showed that people believe that interactions in different types of groups are governed by different blends of relational principles unique for each type of group.

Article Abstract:

Coleman's research in the 1960s was supported by a large federal grant. His findings suggested that improving schools was not the answer to quality education. He was attacked because of his theory that even if schools were equal, the outcome would still be unequal because of the families.
