Hong Kong flies into the future

Article Abstract:

Hong Kong's airport project which includes the construction of Chek Lap Kok airport, a suspension bridge, Western Harbor crossing tunnel, and road and rail links, is scheduled to be completed by 1997 when Hong Kong will become Chinese special administration region. The project is the central feature of negotiations between China and the UK over Hong Kong. The construction work is monitored by the New Airport Projects Coordination Organization.

Methods under quality assessment include proposals for collecting such toxic sediments in geosynthetic tubes and curing them, through bioremediation, into construction materials.
