Intellectual property protection in the countries of Africa

Article Abstract:

The protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) in African nations is considered. Specifically, IPR regulations are assessed with respect to their coverage and mechanisms for protection. In addition, a comparison is made between African members of GATT and developed countries on the state of IPR protection in sectors which are not subject to legal protection.
