It's all in the timing: neurons may be more punctual than had been supposed

Article Abstract:

Neuroscientists have long believed that the functioning of neurons occurs against a backdrop of noise and random processes. However, US researchers are uncovering evidence suggesting that signal transmissions among neurons are highly dependent on precise timing.

Bashing black holes: theorists twist relativity to eradicate an astronomical anomaly

Article Abstract:

Physicists Huseyin Yilmaz and John W. Moffat have forwarded two theories that challenge the existence of Einsteinian black holes. Both theories modify general relativity although they both accept that space contains extremely massive and dense objects.

The Mephistopheles of neurobiology

Article Abstract:

Crick's current research is an attempt to explain consciousness of the brain. He does not believe fully in neural networks, and hopes to determine the brain processes of consciousness. Past research highlights are included.
