Latest Salton Sea restoration plan includes causeway

Article Abstract:

Salton Sea Authority, the agency charged with overseeing the ailing water body in 2004, selected a plan that would use a causeway several miles in length to divide the Salton Sea into two basins. The ambitious plan envisions the creation of a less saline lake to the north of the causeway and a variety of wetlands and other shallow water habitats to the south.
