Managing organizational knowledge by diagnosing intellectual capital: framing and advancing the state of the field

Article Abstract:

Studies have found that more and more businesses have evolved into economic entities that derive their value from intangible resources rather than tangible ones. Intellectual capital is a form of organizational resource. Numerous studies have been done to continually discover ways that will enable managers to effectively exploit intellectual capital as an intangible resource. Industry experts are convinced that a slow proliferation of customized metrics will soon be integrated and disclosed in traditional financial statements as addendums.

Organizational learning via groupware: A path to discovery or disaster?

Article Abstract:

The increased importance of knowledge in the growth of any company suggests that employees and companies need to continuously upgrade their knowledge base and groupware technologies to facilitate increase in knowledge. However, it is found that groupware learning seldom helps in enhancing knowledge, and hence studies were conducted to understand the causes for the failure.

Teaching knowledge management and intellectual capital lessons: an empirical examination of the Tango simulation

Article Abstract:

The use of the Knowledge Management Receptivity Survey to convey lessons in intellectual capital and knowledge management to managers is discussed. The KRMS was used in conjunction with the Tango simulation and the results are presented.
