Patent licensing for technology transfer: an integrated structural model research

Article Abstract:

An integrated structural model has been developed to determine the different variables critical to the success of a patent licensing agreement for technology transfer. The model uses seven specific characteristics to evaluate the effectiveness of patent licensing, including the country-specific, firm-specific, management-specific and transfer-specific characteristics. The model reveals the existence of causal relationships between the variables and the effectiveness of the licensing agreements.

Towards free trade in telecommunications and information services

Article Abstract:

The development of global communications networks requires the introduction of a new organization to monitor and regulate international transmissions and set out rules for information trade and exchange. GATT, the International Telecommunication Convention and the OECD are all unable to directly respond to the need for communications governance. Global technology will require multilateral decision-making in the future.
