Article Abstract:

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has advocated for the "attainment of a body of knowledge for entry into the practice of civil engineering at the professional level" in 1998, and the organization's Body of Knowledge Committee published a report on this body of knowledge in 2004, with the use of this document raising questions and suggestions. A second committee regarding this topic, formed in 2005, refined the body of knowledge and is seeking comments on the draft.
