Results of an asthma disease management program in an urban pediatric community clinic

Article Abstract:

It is observed that the support given to national diagnosis and treatment guidelines for asthma has not received much support. Therefore, the 'Children's Asthma Disease Management Program' (CHAMP) was designed and implemented by nurse practitioners in an urban pediatric community clinic. An analysis on this program is presented.

An integrative research review: effective school-based childhood overweight interventions

Article Abstract:

A study examining theoretical and methodological characteristics of effective school-based over-weight interventions, is presented. These interventions included healthy lifestyle education, dietary habits and physical activity amongst children aged four through fourteen.
