Further developments in the use of semipermeable membrane devices (SPMDs) as passive air samplers for persistant organic pollutants: field application in a spatial survey of PCDD/Fs and PAHs

Article Abstract:

Semipermeable membrane devices (SPMDs) are used to test for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and -furans (PCDD/Fs). Results from nineteen sites in northwest England are charted and SPMDs are recommended for semiquantitative detection of airborne pollutants.

Seasonal, anthropogenic, air mass, and meteorological influences on the atmospheric concentrations of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs): evidence for the importance of diffuse combustion sources

Article Abstract:

Researchers from Lancaster University, UK collected samples from the northwest coast of England to determine the levels of concentration of polychlorinated dibenzon-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans
