Predictive genetic testing: from basic research to clinical practice

Article Abstract:

The validity of genetic tests for disease risk are not ensured under current federal regulations. The steps necessary to determine the safety, effectiveness, benefits and risks of a genetic test are discussed.

A truncated erythropoietin receptor and cell death

Article Abstract:

The conclusion that the truncated receptor (EPOR-T) does not prevent cell death is not supported by the data. EPOR-T may be inefficient in transducing erythropoietin actions.
