The most common method of making circuits smaller so that it could measure the breadth of virus is to reduce the wavelength of light with a machine that traces progressively tinier circuit features on a wafer. Hence researchers have developed toxic microbubble that could distort light focused on the surface of a semiconductor wafer and thereby affect the fidelity of an image projected onto a photosensitive film.
