Singapore facility is world's largest portable plant with membranes

Article Abstract:

Singapore's Chestnut Avenue Water Works is the largest portable water treatment plant in the world to incorporate membrane filtration designed by Black & Veatch, of Overland Park, Kansas. Scott Freeman, a senior membrane process engineer with Black & Veatch states that the immersed membrane system used for the first time in Singapore depends on a novel system of gravity driven process to reduce costs to a great extent and helps to double the water treatment facility.
