Site seeing

Article Abstract:

The need for better information management and project control throughout the construction process and broadbased adoption of Internet technology have spurred architectural, engineering and construction industry firms to establish project extranets or Internet-based project Web sites. These sites make for fast, cost-effective and efficient communications and enable firms to go beyond marketing in using the Web. There are many compelling reasons for establishing and using such Internet sites.

Article Abstract:

The McColl Superfund Site has been turned into a community recreation facility and wildlife sanctuary. It was previously a National Priorities List (NPL) hazardous waste site, and much of its history has been mired in controversy, bureaucracy and litigation. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)-equivalent containment was chosen for the clean-up, without solidification.
