The organization of behavioral repertoire in motor cortex

Article Abstract:

The cortical motor system is discussed from an ethological perspective and the three levels of analysis, including cortical topography, properties of single neurons and mapping from cortex to muscles are presented. The results indicate that the motor cortex participates directly in organizing and controlling the animal's behavior repertoire.
