The real Star Wars: politicians haggle over giving the Pentagon the ability to destroy commercial satellites in the name of "space control."

Article Abstract:

Lawmakers are engaged in an acrimonious debate over the development of weapons that can destroy commercial satellites and other objects in orbit.
