U.K. tries to set priorities with the benefit of foresight

Britain's Office of Science and Technology is overseeing a project designed to set science and technology priorities for the next 10 to 15 years. So far, expert opinion from public and private business, research and finance has been distilled into 15 reports, each representing a major industrial sector.

U.K. spells out new research priorities
