Translation, Rotation and Superposition of Linear Quadtrees
Article Abstract:
Representing black pixels of a binary image by linear quadtrees has been shown to be a memory saving structure. Now it is shown that elementary operations can be effeciently performed on linear quadtrees. They can be encoded and decoded by global operations and then moved in different directions. Two images from different screens can be superimposed on a larger screen. Given regions can be easily rotated with these procedures.
