Decision-making and adult protective services workers: identifying critical factors

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the decision-making of Adult Protective Service (APS) workers. The objective was to identify the critical factors that APS workers in New Hampshire use in elder physical abuse intervention cases. Two focus groups, a modified Delphi method of analysis and two focus groups were used in the study. Results provide evidence for the weaknesses and strengths in the decisional process and suggest several themes for further study.
