Implicit sequence learning: effects of level of structure, adult age, and extended practice

Article Abstract:

Age-related deficits were found in implicit learning of a perceptual-motor sequences, with the help of alternating version of a serial RT task, in which predictable pattern events alternated with (lag-2) or (lag-3) randomly determined events. A study of this theory, by giving people extensive training on sequences containing two levels of structure, is presented.

Exploring the identification-production hypothesis of repetition priming in young and older adults

Article Abstract:

The identification-production hypothesis predicted that age differences would be found on indirect memory measures that primarily involve stimulus production processes. Further, age differences will be absent on indirect measures that involves prevalence of stimulus identification, verification or classification processes.

Age equivalence in switch costs for prosaccade and antisaccade tasks

Article Abstract:

Age differences in task switching are investigated with the help of prosaccade and antisaccade task. The magnitude of age-related differences in switch costs could be influenced by the nature of the tasks.
