Resistance and agility training reduce fall risk in women aged 75 to 85 with low bone mass: a 6-month randomized, controlled trial

Article Abstract:

A study is carried out to compare the effectiveness of group resistance and agility-training programs in reducing fall risk in older women with low bone mass. It was observed that within the resistance-training group, the reductions were associated with improved strength, which support the implementation of community-based resistance and agility-training programs to ensure public health benefits.

The beneficial effects of group-based exercises on fall risk profile and physical activity persist 1 year postintervention in older women with low bone mass: Follow-up after withdrawal of exercise

Article Abstract:

Fall risk, detraining, resistance training and exercise induced reduction are some of the major focal points. The beneficial effects of the group-based exercises prevail without any other exercises interventions for more or less 12 months.
