Urinary incontinence and psychological distress in community-dwelling older African Americans and Whites

Article Abstract:

The association between urinary incontinence (UI) and psychological distress in older African Americans and Whites is compared. The effect of urinary incontinence on emotional well-being may be greater for African Americans than for Whites.

Urge incontinence: new health-related quality of life measures

Article Abstract:

A study of newly developed instruments to measure the quality of life among women suffering urge urinary incontinence is discussed. An incontinence impact questionnaire and an urge-urinary distress inventory were regarded as reliable.
