Article Abstract:

This article examines the impact social change has had on grandmothers. The author discusses the roles of working grandmothers, the problems of split-families, behavioral problems exhibited by children, and the lack of tight-knit neighborhoods, maintaining the modern social structure has thrust much more responsibility on grandmothers.
