Abortion from a crosscultural perspective: an introduction

Article Abstract:

A study of abortion from a crosscultural standpoint is necessary to present varied experiences of women in countries with different ideologies on human fertility and sexuality and laws regulating access to contraceptives. It is ironical that in most research work, first-hand accounts from the main actors in the issue, who are the women themselves, are not presented. It is therefore imperative for future studies to correct this oversight.
