Multiple imaginings of institutional identity: a case study of a large psychiatric research hospital

Article Abstract:

Research is conducted on staff loyalty to an institution, examining categories such as the concept of culture, the idea of the social imaginary, and individual perspective of an organization. Findings show that each person develops a separate and distinct idea of the institution and his or her relationship to it, which renders a real, overall imagining of the institution impossible.
