Old faces, new places: equity theory in cross-cultural contexts

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to identify the ways in which the cultural context may influence how employees perceive inputs and outcomes, their equity preferences, and their reactions to inequity. The value-orientation model of culture is used. It is believed that examining how cultural variables influence the processes outlined by equity theory could improve its predictive validity.
